首先简单介绍一下我自己和我需要各位大神帮助的问题。本人为预备博士，将于今年10月开始，方向为环境工程，过去专业是化学（本科）和司法鉴定（研究生）等。编程经历为：中学时使用HTML在frontpage上建立班级网页（你们应该知道，这是非常简单的）；大学时利用FORTRAN建立分子模型（其实只是使用该语言给已经编号的程序下指令罢了，也是非常基本）。最高数学基础为A level高等数学和在研究生阶段学习的司法鉴定统计学。本人目前正在恶补Python，但是目前为止还不能写出什么有价值的东西。总之，你们把本人当一个“文科生”也不为过。
最近本人在和一家银行的研发部门洽谈短期实践项目，银行方面负责人是一个在业内小有名气的经济学家。银行有意让我介入他们的一个项目：Standardised Internet Search Plugin for Google Chrome. （这个是题目）要求写在下面：
Deliver all and any results available through typically-available search engines, regardless of where the employee is located geographically. This means search results should be exhaustive and identical.
Demonstrate deltas from past identical search results, to show how (and if possible, why) there are new search results available to past search queries.
Emphasis should be placed on not naively accepting the search result rankings provided by traditional search engines, as these are often geared towards commerce and product searches for widely-popular items. Furthermore, the “page by page” nature of search-engine results typically discourages web users from scrolling past the first 2-3 pages of results. Together, this can result in valuable search results being easily missed.

Basically，设计一个软件，帮助该公司员工迅速分辨一个名字到底是谁。比如“王大锤”这个名字很常见（let's just assume），所以这个人的地址，或者工作单位，对辨别他的身份会比名字更重要。而“东方不败”这个名字很少见，所以用这个名字就能较为轻松得找到这个人。总之就是建一个搜索引擎。
用流行的话来讲，我顿时方了。
